If you’re in Tucson or will be in Tucson for training or racing contact me for LT testing, bike fitting, 1-on-1 training, and training consultation to set your season up right.

Blood Lactate (LT) Testing:  I highly recommend having a Lactate Threshold test completed annually, especially if you are a competitive athlete.  It is important to have accurate heart rate and power zones to maximize the time you spend training—otherwise you’re wasting your time.  I set up a graduated test on a Computrainer or CycleOps Power Beam Pro Trainer or treadmill, taking samples and specific intervals measuring your HR, power, and speed.  From this test we’ll determine your Lactate Threshold heart rate and power (bike) or speed (run), your effective training zones, and the effectiveness of your aerobic base training.  The test will also give us good insight into your training and where to spend more time for the most improvement.

Cost:  First Test: $100    Retests: $75      Bike and Run test:  $175 (48hrs between tests)

Computrainer Session with SpinScan:  'Worth it's weight in gold' kind of training.  With SpinScan technology you can see a graphical representation of your pedal stroke with numbers for pedaling efficiency and left-right balance.  This is the best way to perfect your pedal stroke and gain free speed by reducing your power loss through inefficiencies.  A GEC coach will be alongside you to help you read the SpinScan and show you how to improve. Toss in a bike fitting and we'll make you as efficient as you can be.

Cost:  $75/hour.

Bike Fitting:  A bike’s worth is measure by how well it fits, so don’t ride a $5000 bike on a 50 cent fit.  In order to maximize power and comfort while minimizing injury risk and fatigue, a proper bike fit is crucial.  I use proven techniques to fit you to your bike properly and to correct any bio mechanical inefficiencies. Most fits take about an hour and 15 minutes.

Cost:  $75, plus $50 an hour for fits over 75 minutes. 

One-on-One training:  If you’re looking to improve on one sport but are not sure how to do it, I’ll join you at the pool, the track, the road or the trail and will help you with sport-specific technique and training.  I use proven techniques to help athletes run faster and with less injury, conquer the trail on their mountain bike fear-free, learn how to corner like a pro, and swim more efficiently (or anything you need).  I use a video camera for form work in the water or on the track so you can see yourself and the form corrections I talk about.

Cost:  $60/hour. 

Training Consulting:  Contact me to talk 1-on-1 about your training, fitness, nutrition, or progress.  I’ll look over your own training plan with you and make suggestions to maximize your performance, or will discuss a recent race experience and talk about how to improve.  Anything is fair-game

Cost:  $60/hour.
